Pink Car Leasing’s Ground-Breaking EV Salary Sacrifice Scheme Signs Up 50th Customer In 5 Months
PRESS RELEASE – JANUARY 2022
Pink Car Leasing’s revolutionary EV salary sacrifice scheme has seen its projected early adoption figure smashed by more than 500 per cent.
Initially predicting between five and ten customers with 1,000 to 2,000 employees, Pink Salary Exchange has just signed up its 50th customer and now has more than 7,500 drivers on its books.
The market leader also revealed the most popular electric car choices are the Audi Q4 e-tron, Volkswagen ID3, Tesla 3 and Vauxhall UP.
Unlike any other salary exchange, businesses with just a single employee can sign up to the unique scheme. It also offers flexible leasing contracts from as short as six months in duration, meaning employees on fixed-term contracts can reap the benefits it offers.
The amount a person pays for the car of their choice includes maintenance, insurance and road tax, and with the deduction coming from an individual’s gross salary, instead of net, it reduces the real cost to the employee and saves National Insurance contributions.
Another major selling point is that a business registering to be a part of Pink Salary Exchange can be set up – and employees able to select the vehicles of their choice – within 24 hours.
Caroline Hill, Pink Car Leasing Commercial Director, said: “When we launched Pink Salary Exchange in August, we knew we had something special. However, we have been astonished by just how popular it is.
“We predicted that in the first five months we would potentially have between five and ten clients with a combined employee workforce of between 500 and 1,000.
“The reality is we have just signed up our 50th client, which considering we have had Christmas and New Year in between, is simply staggering.
“When we said it was an industry leader – a game changer and light years ahead of the opposition, we weren’t exaggerating.
“We spent two years developing the product, and to help us bring this product to market, we were aided by company car advisory consultancies, HRUX, and Newcastle-based digital products studio NE6.
“Without the expertise of these two business, Pink Salary Exchange would not be the industry-leading product it is.”
Caroline added: “Pink Salary Exchange is the most flexible salary sacrifice scheme on the market.
“It puts brand new electric cars in the reach of millions of employees, who were previously unable to afford the on-going monthly costs. And for a company to join the scheme they need to have just one employee on their books.”
